New Town Planner Appointed By New Canaan Board Of Selectmen
Sarah Carey, New Canaan's assistant town planner, has been appointed by the Board of Selectman to be the new town planner.

NEW CANAAN, CT — The Board of Selectmen voted this week to appoint Assistant Town Planner Sarah Carey as New Canaan's town planner.
During a meeting held Tuesday, Cheryl Pickering-Jones told board members Carey has "done an amazing job" as assistant town planner and that she recommended both removing Carey from probationary status and appointing her to the full-time town planner and senior enforcement officer position.
"She has cleaned up permits," Pickering-Jones said, "works well with residents, staff, commissioners. [Planning and Zoning Subcommittee Chair] Dan Radman is fully on board with us putting her into a permanent position, so I strongly recommend that we move her into that full-time position."

"You've done an amazing job...congratulations," Moynihan said, "and thank you for all your hard work."
