News Flash: CNN Anchor Alisyn Camerota at St. Luke’s

CNN anchor Alisyn Camerota gave students a view from the front lines of journalism. Camerota, a St. Luke’s parent, joined students for the “Lunch & Lead” series—an informal gathering where leaders from diverse fields share experiences and advice. The speaker series is managed by students as part of St. Luke’s Center for Leadership.

As a former Fox News anchor and current co-anchor of CNN’s New Day, Camerota is fully immersed in today’s intense news cycles and often heated political coverage. She told students it was the most challenging time of her career, but also the most rewarding. In an era of “fake” news, Camerota—who shared that she was once “blacklisted” by the current administration—says her role as a journalist has never felt more important.
