Obit: Elodia Jordan, 84, Lifelong New Canaan Resident

Elodia Vittoria Cerretani Jordan age 84, a lifelong New Canaan resident, died September 11, 2016 at Stamford Hospital with her loving family by her side.

Born in New Canaan December 13, 1931 "Tootsie" was the daughter of the late Nicola and Christina Paternostro Cerretani. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Ralph "Dutch" Jordan in 2006.Beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Elodia's greatest joy in life was her family -setting an exceptional example of motherhood.

She will always be remembered for her caring, compassion, and thoughtfulness as well as her gift for baking, especially her cream puffs and lemon meringue pie.Elodia is survived by her son, Ralph J. Jordan of Shelton, CT ; three daughters, Debra Walsh and her husband Steve of New Canaan; Victoria Kattiya-Aree of Queens, NY and Nancy Ciccone and her husband Carmen of South Salem, NY; six grandchildren: Jessica Walsh and her husband Max Garrison of Eureka, CA, Stephen Walsh of Flagstaff, AZ , Kristen and Jay Jordan of Norwalk, CT and Anthony and Anna Ciccone; two beloved great-grandchildren Devyn Jordan and Elodie Grace Garrison.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, September 23rd at 11 a.m. at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church in New Canaan. Interment will be private.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bennett Cancer Center at Stamford Hospital, Stamford Connecticut.
