Obituary: Cesidio “Jesse” Piselli, 87

Cesidio “Jesse” Piselli, 87, of Milford, CT, beloved husband of Rose Marie Piselli, entered into eternal rest on Sunday July 9, 2017. Born on January 22, 1930 in Settefrati, Italy, son of the late Antonio Piselli and Maria Elisabetta Socci.

Cesidio arrived in the United States in 1947 and became a proud citizen in 1956. He had a long career mostly working for the Town of New Canaan, CT, ultimately ending as the Superintendent of Maintenance at the New Canaan Library. In 1961, he married the love of his life, Rose Marie Galetta and together raised six loving children.

He had a unique passion for life, nature and the value of family bonds. He was a talented and avid gardener, landscaper, amateur photographer and mechanic. Imagine a man who could make a beautiful bouquet from a garden he planted, put it on a table with a glorious salad he grew, convince his children they had a great time helping him, then kiss his beautiful wife after the dinner prayer and tell a silly joke at a table filled with family and friends. That was our beloved “Jesse”.

Along with his loving wife, Cesidio is survived by his brother Loreto, his Sister Mary and his six children, Anthony (Janet), Vincent (Michele), Grace (Wayne), John (Michele), Teresa (Alan) and Diana and their 16 grandchildren: JaneMarie, David, Joseph, GraceAnne, Anthony, Heather, Marc, Marie, Marcel, George, Stephen, Charles, Daniel, Christopher, Arianna, and Cameron.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on July 14, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Christ Redeemer Roman Catholic Church, 325 Oronoque Rd., Milford, CT (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH). Interment is to follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Buckingham Ave., Milford, CT. Friends and family may call from 4 -8 p.m. on Thursday July 13, 2017 at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad Street, Milford, CT 06460.
