Obituary: ​George Jay Lichtblau, 78, of New Canaan

George supported a foundation to provide hearing aids for those in need without resources for payment.

George Jay Lichtblau, of New Canaan, Connecticut died on August 3, 2016, at home. Born on April 29, 1938, in Woodmere, NY, George was the son of Tessie K. Lichtblau and David P. Lichtblau. He graduated from Princeton University with bachelor and master degrees in electrical engineering and Harvard Business School.

In January 1968, he married his late wife Anne R. Lichtblau and they moved to New Canaan in 2005.
George supported a foundation to provide hearing aids for those in need without resources for payment. He was also active in the Hudson Institute and Hope Sound Hope Chest delivering many laptops and printers to children in need.

He is survived by his bother Irwin Lichtblau, brother-in-law Wayne Rahiser, nephews Brian Lichtblau, David Lichtblau, Eric Lichtblau, Steven Gollomp, Deborah Gollomp and William Rahiser.

A memorial service is being planned.
