Obituary: Thomas Basso, 69, Of New Canaan

Thomas Basso, 69, died on November 1, 2022 at Brightview in Norwalk. Tom lived most of his life in New Canaan, CT before coming to Brightview, a few years ago.

Tom, as many of you know, was quite the character. Tom spent most of his years practicing his acting and performing as a novice ventriloquist. He performed in over twenty plays with the New Canaan Players and was better known by his stage name Nick Carpenter.

Tom traveled about the country attending ventriloquist conventions and concerts. He knew his trivia, music, movies, and was always available with a joke. Thank you for being a part of his life!

Private burial to be held at St. John Cemetery in Norwalk.
