80-Year-Old Steals Glasses
An 80-year-old woman was arrested after she allegedly attempted to steal a pair of reading glasses.
Police were dispatched to Walgreens on Sept. 15. The woman, identified as Jessie Leburn of New Canaan took a pair of $34.99 reading glasses and walked into a restroom with the glasses on her face and sunglasses on her head. When she came out the reading glasses were in her pocket, police said.

She was charged with sixth-degree larceny.
Motorcycle Stolen

A resident reported that his motorcycle was stolen out of a Richmond Hill Road driveway.
He reported the larceny the morning of Sept. 16 and said the bike went missing within the past 24 hours.
It is a blue 2005 Suzuki GSXR 1000 valued at $6,500. The keys were not in the bike.
Police Help Take Man Into Custody
New Canaan Police assisted with serving an arrest warrant to a Danbury man who works in New Canaan.
The Chief State’s Attorney Office had a warrant for Edilberto Marcos, 43, of Danbury. Marcos works at a Frogtown Road business.
He was taken into custody on Sept. 17 and transported back to New Canaan Police headquarters for processing and turned over. Immigration and Customs Enforcement took him to court.
