PD: Intoxicated New Canaan Woman Found Passed Out in Vehicle

A woman was arrested after she was found passed out in her vehicle that was running, police said.

An Old Kings highway resident called to report a suspicious vehicle in front of his house on Oct. 25 around 2:30 a.m.

An officer approached the vehicle and found Sara Cox, 21, of New Canaan passed out in the driver’s seat. The engine was running and the vehicle was in park.

She appeared confused upon waking up and failed a field test. Another test determined she had a BAC of .187, more than twice over the legal limit.

She was arrested for DWI.
