A 21-year-old New Canaan man is likely upset with his mom after she let them inside.

A 21-year-old New Canaan man likely isn’t happy with his mother after police walked into the home and saw marijuana in plain view.
Police were dispatched to Hampton Lane Dec. 4 to issue an order of protection against the 21-year-old from Massachusetts, police said.
The resident’s mother let police inside the home and allowed them to go up to his room. Officers knocked and the man opened his door, which revealed a bong, marijuana grinder and clear plastic bags with marijuana residue, police said.
He was charged with possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana.

Juvenile Issued Summons
Police issued a juvenile summons to a 17-year-old Norwalk resident after he was pulled over for speeding in New Canaan.
An officer on Old Stamford Road was conducting enforcement when a vehicle traveled past him was clocked going 51 mph in a 30 mph zone.
The vehicle was stopped and a police K-9 was summoned to the scene after the officer detected the odor of marijuana.
Police found a glass mason jar with the word “weed” written on a blue masking tape label. Inside the jar were sandwich bags that contained marijuana, police said.
Burned marijuana cigarettes were also found in the vehicle.
The juvenile was charged with traveling unreasonably fast, operating a motor vehicle without a license, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana.
