Plans To Add 40 Senior Housing Units Unveiled In New Canaan: Report

The units were initially planned to be designated as affordable, but the town's top official wants to make a switch, Hearst CT reported.

NEW CANAAN, CT — First Selectman Kevin Moynihan told Hearst CT he'd like to see 40 units at Canaan Parish be designated as senior housing. The units were initially planned to be affordable housing, Hearst reports.

Moynihan told Hearst there is a lengthy waiting list for senior housing. Affordable Housing Authority Chairman Scott Hobbs told Hearst CT that making the switch from affordable to senior housing at Canaan Parish may be complicated.
