Police Remind New Canaan Residents To Lock Their Vehicle Doors
Police said they are continuing to investigate vehicle break-ins and stolen vehicles reported in New Canaan.

NEW CANAAN, CT — Police remind New Canaan residents to lock their car doors as they continue to investigate vehicle break-ins and stolen vehicles recently reported in town.
In a Facebook post Sunday evening, police said the department continues to investigate vehicle break-ins and stolen vehicles occurring both during the day and night in New Canaan.
According to police, a number of these vehicles were left unlocked, often with the keys inside.

"Heading into a new week, don't forget: LOCK IT OR LOSE IT," police wrote on Facebook.

- Always lock your doors.
- Remove all valuable items.
- Follow these tips both day and night.
Police said the department encourages residents to share these tips with others.
"We often talk to people who have no idea this happens in New Canaan," police wrote. "We try to share this information in a variety of formats, but we can't reach everyone without your help."
