Police Training Exercise Underway In New Canaan: PD

The department said it is running a training exercise requiring heavy police presence and a drone and emphasized there is no emergency.

NEW CANAAN, CT — The New Canaan Police Department is running a training exercise in town Friday and emphasized there is no emergency.

In a Facebook post around 9:30 a.m., police said the training exercise was taking place in the area of East Avenue and Raymond Street.

According to the department, there is a heavy police presence and a drone in the area as a result of the training exercise, however there is no emergency.
