Prosecutors Decline Charges After New Canaan 'Dog Rescue': Report
The women felt the dog inside a vehicle was in danger, police said. The car's windows were cracked and the sunroof was open.

NEW CANAAN, CT—Prosecutors declined to bring charges against two women after they let a dog out of a vehicle on a breezy October afternoon.
A woman was eating lunch and noticed a parked car on Morse Court with a Norse terrier inside, according to the New Canaanite. The car's sunroof was open, the windows were cracked and the temperature inside the vehicle was 75 degrees. She called police and left a voicemail with the animal control officer.
One of the women reached through an open window and let the terrier out, according to a police report. The women gave the dog water and let it urinate.

The owner returned to find her dog missing and was approached by two women with her dog. One of the women began yelling at her.
