Public Comment Sought On New Canaan Stormwater Plan
The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection is seeking comment on the management plan.
From the Town of New Canaan: NEW CANAAN, CT — The Town of New Canaan is registered under the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection’s (CTDEEP) General Permit for the Discharge of Stormwater from Small Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems. As part of its registration under the General Permit, the Town is required to file an annual report of activities undertaken to meet the Minimum Control Measures specified in the Permit and in the Town’s Stormwater Management Plan.
The General Permit requires a 45 day public comment period on the draft plan before it is filed with CTDEEP.
The report can be viewed on the Town website, www.newcanaan.info, under Stormwater Management, Draft 2019 MS4 Annual Report or in the Public Works Department at Town Hall, 77 Main Street, New Canaan, CT.
