Public Notice Snafu Delays Saxe Vote

Town officials are erring on the side of caution and are delaying the Saxe expansion project vote.

The new vote will take place on Nov. 30 and shouldn’t affect the building schedule, according to the New Canaanite.

A production error in the New Canaan Advertiser Nov. 12 edition led to one section being printed two pages short. One of the pages contained a legal notice for the Saxe vote. The section was re-printed and sent to news stands and the Post Office the same day.

First Selectman Robert Mallozzi said the town would play it safe and wants to make sure nothing goes wrong with the voting process.
