Report: Brian Williams Highly Unlikely to Anchor Nightly News
Several reports have pointed toward Williams either getting another position with NBC or leaving the network entirely.

It’s looking more like New Canaan resident Brian Williams won’t be coming back to anchor NBC Nightly News.
Negotiations between Williams and the network are still ongoing, but center around either finding another position for Williams or him leaving the company entirely, according to CNN Money.

Williams was suspended from his 10-year run as anchor in February. He had made statements about time spent reporting in Iraq that were found to be untrue.
His five-year contract with NBC was signed in late 2014 and he was being paid more than $10 million annually, according to the LA Times.

It’s also looking very likely that Lester Holt will take over permanently as anchor of Nightly News, according to cNN.
