Road Closures Announced For Caffeine & Carburetors Event In New Canaan: Police

Police said there will be heavy traffic in town during the event and several roads will be closed for a portion of the day.

NEW CANAAN, CT — A number of road closures have been announced for the upcoming Caffeine & Carburetors event scheduled to take place Sunday in New Canaan.

In a Facebook post Monday, police said there will be heavy traffic in town during the event and several roads will be closed from approximately 7 a.m. to noon.

According to police, the following roads will be closed:

  • Pine Street.
  • One-way portion of Elm Street.
  • South Avenue between Elm Street and Morse Court.

Police noted there are numerous municipal parking lots that attendees can use, however they are asked not to park in handicap spaces without a valid placard.

Officers and CERT members will be assisting in various locations with traffic and parking, police said.

"Please help us in keeping this a safe and enjoyable event by abiding by all traffic laws," police wrote on Facebook.
