School's Out. Now What?
High schoolers looking to prepare for standardized tests over the summer should plan ahead to maximize their time.

With summer vacation looming on the horizon, high school students will have lots of free time on their hands. Why not use that time to create a strong plan for upcoming test preparation?
The college application process can be overwhelming, but getting ahead over the summer can help alleviate that stress. Lynn Carnegie, founder of local test prep company Carnegie Pollak, will be giving a free seminar at the Darien Depot this June addressing how to navigate the world of standardized testing. It will be held on Thursday, June 8th at 7:30pm.
“There are so many questions that students and parents don’t know to ask about this process, especially with the new August SAT offered this year,” Carnegie says. “My presentation will give an overview of the testing process to start the dialogue and make it less intimidating for parents.”
