Silvermine Holiday Art, Craft Sale To Feature Unique Tax-Free Gifts

The holiday sale is an opportunity to browse an abundance of offerings from Silvermine's students and instructors.

NEW CANAAN, CT — Unique gifts for the holiday season will be featured at the Silvermine Holiday Art and Craft Sale on Dec. 15 and 16.

According to a news release provided by the Silvermine Arts Center, the Holiday Sale is an opportunity to browse an abundance of offerings from Silvermine’s students and instructors. All purchases are tax free.

There are practical and beautiful objects including original ceramic pieces, one-of-a-kind jewelry designs, scarves, and other wearable art—as well as affordable prints, paintings, drawings, cards, and photography, according to the arts center.

The Holiday Sale begins Dec. 15 with shopping, food, and drinks from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. On Dec. 16, the sale will be family friendly with free arts activities for children.

Saturday sale hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Purchases help support Silvermine students, instructors, and the School of Art Scholarship Fund, according to the arts center.

Also on view Saturday in the gallery is Silvermine's Holiday Salon: The Gift of Art, featuring affordable works of art by regionally and nationally-acclaimed artists from the Silvermine Guild.
