NEW CANAAN, CT — The Silvermine School of Art Summer Camps are back, offering week-long art camps for students ages 3-17.
According to a news release provided by the Silvermine Arts Center, the camps provide extraordinary opportunities for young children and high school students to learn from regionally and nationally known artists while meeting new friends and having fun on Silvermine's five-acre campus.
Students will gain new skills, deepen knowledge of technique and composition, or strengthen a portfolio for college. With its many art studios, sculpture walk, and picturesque pond with waterfall, Silvermine’s campus and landscape views enhance the experience of attending camp.

Students can sketch by the waterfall, learn a number of artistic disciplines, and enjoy a sense of camaraderie in a creative environment. The school offers art studio sessions in ceramics, metal, woodworking, drawing, painting, glass flame working, mixed media, photography, puppetry, digital arts and storyboarding for animation and film, to name a few.
Camps run in one-week sessions for specific age groups in the morning and afternoon, with the option to stay all day by signing up for the "lunch bunch" program, a supervised lunch period.
