Slight Cost Increase Anticipated for Saxe Middle School Project
The expense after reimbursement for the project is expected to cost the town $16.2 million.
The cost to the town of New Canaan for the Saxe Middle School renovation project is now forecast at $16.2 million after reimbursements, the New Canaan Advertiser reported.
Design and cost estimates which were recently approved total $18.6 million, with $2.4 million expected to be reimbursed.
Originally, plans called for a $17.1 million expenditure, and state reimbursement of between $1 million and $1.5 million.

A public hearing on the project is scheduled for Wedn3esday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. in Town Hall.
