Some Residents Pitch Merritt Village Referendum

Generally referendums apply to actions out of the Town Council and not Planning and Zoning.

NEW CANAAN, CT—A group of residents is pitching the idea of a referendum should the Planning and Zoning Commission approve the Merritt Village project.

Referendums are generally done out of actions of the Town Council and not the Planning and Zoning Commission, which gets much of its authority from state statute, according to the New Canaanite.
