South School Supports Breast Cancer Awareness

Recognizing and Raising Awareness About the Disease of Breast Cancer

Throughout the whole month of October, South School students and teachers helped raise awareness and support for breast cancer research.

There were pink ribbons tied all around the trees in the front of the school, fourth graders collected donations (many donated money from their own savings or allowance) for breast cancer research, the whole school had "Wear Pink Day" on Friday, October 25th and one kindergarten class honored their teacher with a gift in her name to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

The South School staff also took part in "Pink Day" - supporting the fighters, admiring the survivors, remembering the taken and never, ever giving up hope.
