St. Luke’s 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony
St. Luke's 8th Grade Promotion was a wonderful ceremony of reflection and celebration.
St. Luke’s 8th graders marked the end of their Middle School years at the Eighth Grade Promotion Ceremony last Wednesday. Head of Middle School Gareth Fancher and several Middle School teachers including Melissa Zurkowski, Kirsten Tobler, Jay Blau, Brinley Ehlers, Frank Henson, Chris Phelps and Susan Bralower reflected on the past and gave advice for the future. Bralower also shared a nostalgic video montage she created that looked back on the students’ middle school years
The 8th Grade Girls Choir sang The Voice Within and the 8th Grade Boys Choir sang Man in the Mirror. As is tradition, each 8th grader signed their name on a large banner next to their own handprint and then received a certificate of promotion. (The banner will be displayed in the middle school gym along with ones from previous years.) The ceremony was followed by a reception in the Fireplace Commons and then the 8th Grade Dance.
