St. Luke’s 9th Graders Create Podcasts for Metropolitan Museum Tour

St. Luke's students researched ancient art, created podcasts and then used it as their museum guide.

In preparation for a recent field trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, St. Luke’s 9th graders each researched a work of ancient art and created a podcast designed to give the viewer context and historical background.

St. Luke’s academic technologist, Matt Bavone, compiled these 76 podcasts into audio tracks that guided the students through centuries of ancient art. This informative and fun cultural experience was paired with a picnic lunch in Central Park.

The St. Luke’s students’ audio guides can be accessed by downloading the Spreaker Podcast Radio App and then searching for MET Playlist 2017 1, 2, 3, or 4. St. Luke’s Upper School World History teacher Abby Bielski said, “You will be impressed by the thought, effort, and research the St. Luke's students poured into this project.”
