St. Luke’s School New Arts & Humanities Wings

A soaring opening for St. Luke's new Arts and Humanities Wings as students and staff walk through the doors for the first time. All are struck by the beauty of the new space, bright with natural light, where English and History live next door to Art and Design and the Library and Cafe create interplay between study and socializing, work and life.

The 39,000 square foot addition and renovation comprise the largest construction project in St. Luke's history. In addition to new Arts & Humanities classrooms, the new spaces include a world-class designLab, an art gallery, a two-story library and cafe and a welcoming new Admissions Suite.

And so it begins, what Haley Wulfman, Middle School Art Teacher, envisioned last fall: “when we are located in proximity, we’re going to be able to have the casual conversations that lead to the big ideas that become the great things we do in the classroom.”

Collaborative, interdisciplinary, inviting and exciting, the new spaces call for the kind of learning that knows no boundaries, where young people identify that they are more than English and History students, more than researchers, more than artists and makers, they are lifelong learners.
