St. Luke's Alumnus Seeks Help for Ukrainian Burn Clinics
Physician Vitaly Fetissov '11 sets up a network of desperately needed medical supplies.

Vitaly Fetissov, a St. Luke's alumnus from the Class of 2011, continues to serve where the needs are the greatest. Vitaly is a physician at a burn clinic in Prague. His work as a leader of volunteer efforts in the ex-pat community was featured in an SLSHeroes story. Now he’s back in action, setting up and supporting a distribution network of medical supplies and devices to burn centers in Ukraine, and they need help.
Fetissov has sent a couple of shipments to Ukraine already, but supplies are low. In an email to St. Luke's Head of School Mark Davis, Fetissov asked if St. Luke's could “reach out to the school community and see if anyone has contacts within the medical sector, specifically distribution and transport of supplies."
He went on to say, "We could use all the help we can get. The problem we have in Europe right now is that there are not enough medical devices being produced. I'm currently looking for other sources where I can find the necessary items.”
