St. Luke's Center for Leadership Lunch & Lead with Architect and New Canaan resident Amanda Martocchio

St. Luke’s Upper School students organize Lunch & Lead events featuring accomplished professional from varied fields. The goal is to demystify leadership and share insights into how different people take many paths to their own version of success.
In late April, New Canaan resident and award-winning architect Amanda Martocchio spoke with students about her journey and eventual success in creating Amanda Martocchio Architecture and Design. Martocchio, a St. Luke’s parent and trustee, told students she saw a strong connection between architecture and leadership: “What does leadership have to do with architecture? Architects have to build consensus. They not only need a vision, but they have to convince people it’s a good idea.”
Martocchio’s firm was recently named a finalist in for the 2017 Innovation in Design Awards.
