St. Luke's Girls Storm To NEPSAC Quarterfinals

The St. Luke's Varsity Volleyball team and Girls Varsity Soccer team both qualified for the New England Prep School postseason tournament

St. Luke's Varsity Volleyball and Girls Varsity Soccer will be competing in the New England tournament this week after both qualifying for the postseason tournament.

Volleyball received the #3 seed and will play a quarterfinal match against Wooster School at home on Wednesday, November 15 at 4pm. The two teams met just a couple of weeks ago and the Storm swept the Generals 3-0 in an impressive display. Head coach Abby Abbott is expecting a tougher test this time around: “Wooster has consistently improved this season. We are not going into the game with any assumptions. I am looking to our leaders on the court to set a quick, aggressive, and confident tone.”

GVS was given the #8 seed so will travel to the #1 team The MacDuffie School on Wednesday also. The Storm fell 1-4 to the Mustangs early in the season but head coach Dan Clarke is confident heading into the match: “They are a good team but we don’t fear anyone. We will need to be at our best but despite the early-season loss I believe in this group of players and we will go up there expecting to knock of the number one seed.”
