The St. Luke’s Girls Varsity Basketball team continued its incredible run in FAA play on Wednesday, January 29, with a 66-36 victory at Hopkins School.

It was the team’s 50th consecutive FAA win dating all the way back to 2015.

Caroline Lau ‘22 was top scorer for the Storm with 19 points. She also grabbed nine rebounds and had eight assists and five steals. Summer Klein ‘20 added 11 points and picked up seven rebounds. Brielle ‘23 also scored 11 and had five rebounds. Janelle Johnson ‘20 and Sophie Kriftcher ‘20 both chipped in with eight points and five rebounds each.

Head Coach Matt Ward was extremely proud of his team’s accomplishment: “I’m just happy for and proud of all the kids who have contributed to this extraordinary winning streak. It’s a pretty cool legacy, and I know they’d love to get another 50. We will try to keep it going as long as we can.”

The victory sees the team improve to 4-0 in FAA League play and 11-4 overall for the season. The Storm travels to Hamden Hall on Friday, January 31, for another FAA contest and hopes to keep its winning streak alive against the talented Hornets team.
