St. Luke's Junior Selected for Prestigious Writers' Workshop
New Canaan resident Clara Pakman will attend the New England Young Writers' Conference in Vermont.

New Canaan resident and St. Luke’s junior Clara Pakman was selected for the prestigious New England Young Writers’ Conference in the genre of nature writing. The New England Young Writers’ Conference (NEYWC) at Bread Loaf is a four-day writing-focused workshop for high school students held at Middlebury College. NEYWC, held over a long weekend in May, will have writing seminars, workshops, readings, and opportunities for students to meet fellow young writers.
St. Luke's Upper School English Department Chair Stephen Flachsbart said, "I'm incredibly proud of Clara for getting into this program. She is an amazing wordsmith, and I’m sure it’ll be an inspiring experience."
