St. Luke's Storm Stings The Hornets For Third Straight FAA Title
St. Luke's Girls Basketball won its third straight FAA Championship with a 68-40 victory against Hamden Hall

St. Luke’s Girls Varsity Basketball won a third straight FAA Tournament Championship on Saturday, February 24 when it defeated Hamden Hall 68-40.
In a scrappy opening, the Storm struggled to find its offensive rhythm but soon settled down after McKenna Frank ‘18 scored her 1000th career point for St. Luke’s. The #1 seed went on a 16-4 run late in the half to take a commanding 32-14 lead into the interval.
St. Luke’s went 9-0 in the FAA regular season and continued to show their dominance in the second period, never allowing a spirited Hamden Hall a way back into the game.

Head Coach Matt Ward was thrilled for his team: “Everyone chipped in. Everyone is playing hard and has bought into the type of basketball we need to play. They’re doing it with a toughness and an edge we’ve been searching for all season. I’m extremely proud of them all.”
