Suspect Violated A Protective Order, New Canaan Cops Say
The protective order was issued after a previous altercation.

NEW CANAAN, CT — A 20-year-old Milford man was arrested on a warrant by New Canaan police last week on a charge of violating a protective order, according to authorities.
James Myers, of Spindrift Lane, was apprehended by Milford police on Sept. 13 in connection with the warrant and turned over to New Canaan authorities the next day.
"The Protective Order was issued after an arrest was made in Milford CT (in the past unknown when) in a domestic incident involving Myers and the victim," wrote New Canaan police in a statement. "The violation of the Protective Order was reported to the New Canaan Police on 09/03/19."

Additional information on the case was not disclosed by New Canaan police, but Myers was arrested by Milford police on Aug. 28 on charges of disorderly conduct, third-degree assault and second-degree strangulation after a domestic incident, according to Milford police.
Myers was held by New Canaan police in lieu of bail of $20,000 and was scheduled to be arraigned in Norwalk Superior Court on Sept. 16.
