Suspected Medical Marijuana Thief Caught in New Canaan

The theft reportedly is the first of its kind in town.

A garage door serviceman is facing accusations that he swiped four bottles of medical marijuana from the New Canaan residence where he performed some work.

Robert J. Squeo, 24, of 2 Kendall Ct., Norwalk, was arrested on sixth-degree larceny, illegally obtaining drugs, possession of less than a half ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to The New Canaan Advertiser.

Police told The Advertiser that Squeo is accused of stealing the bottles that each contained 3.5 grams of medical marijuana and that he was in the area of the home where the marijuana was stored. It wasn’t clear when the theft occurred, however, it is the first time a medical marijuana theft has been reported in town.

The bottles of medical pot were found in a nearby catch basin where Squeo reportedly dumped them.
