Teen Missing In New Canaan, Found Safe: UPDATE
The teen was initially reported missing on June 14 and has been found, police said in an update Tuesday.

NEW CANAAN, CT — New Canaan Police say that the missing 17 year-old girl, Melissa Cheyenne Davis, has been located in New York City and is safe.
Melissa was found by the NYPD after being requested by the New Canaan Police to check a location in NYC, police said Tuesday afternoon. The New Canaan Police received information about her possible whereabouts from a family member. Melissa has been reunited with her parents.
NEW CANAAN, CT — New Canaan Police are asking for assistance in finding a 17-year-old girl who was reported missing. At 5:16 a.m. on June 14, New Canaan Police responded to 131 Marvin Ridge Road on a report of a missing teen identified as Melissa Cheyenne Davis.

Melissa is a resident of Old Fort, North Carolina and was in New Canaan visiting family with her parents and sibling, police said. Melissa was last seen by family members at 9 p.m. on June 13 when she went to her bedroom at the house she was visiting at on Marvin Ridge Road.
"At this time it appears that Melissa might have run away from the residence and has yet to be located and is missing. It is possible that Melissa is still in the local Fairfield County area or possibly in New York City," police said. "Melissa’s family is very concerned for her well-being and safety and anyone with information regarding Melissa’s whereabouts is asked to contact Sgt.
