NEW CANAAN, CT — The family and friends of missing New Canaan mom Jennifer Farber Dulos, while touched by the gesture of seven-year-old Riley Daigle, are asking that no one establish financial rewards for information on her disappearance.

Daigle, of Wethersfield, and his mother set up a GoFundMe page in honor of Jennifer Dulos because he was "so sickened and upset to see that 5 children have a missing mom." He even pledged all of his $500 in savings toward the reward.

The page remained up for nearly a week but has since been taken down.

In a statement Thursday, Carrie Luft, spokesperson for the family and friends, said the gesture was "the kindest act imaginable," but they want Daigle to keep his savings and for people to keep sending information to police that could help with the search for Jennifer Dulos:

This is the kindest act imaginable: a 7-year-old-boy from Wethersfield, CT, has offered
his savings as a reward to help find Jennifer Farber Dulos. His selflessness and generosity
have touched our hearts. A little child shall lead them.

The impact of Jennifer’s disappearance on her five young children, family, and friends is
affecting many people in similar ways. We urge this young man to keep his savings, but
we honor his impulse. This is about more than a reward—it is a call to do something.

At this time, the police are best equipped to conduct searches for Jennifer. Citizens can
help most by providing information. Please, if you have any knowledge about Jennifer’s
disappearance or her whereabouts, email the New Canaan Police Department’s dedicated
tip line at FindJenniferDulos@newcanaanct.gov or call (203) 594-3544. Follow this
young man’s lead and take action. Thank you.

As of Wednesday, New Canaan police had received about 475 tips in the case, as authorities searched a pond in Avon and the Hartford garbage plant for clues.

Jennifer Dulos has been missing since May 24. Her estranged husband, Fotis Dulos, and his girlfriend, Michelle Troconis, have been charged with evidence tampering in connection with her disappearance; both are free on bond.

"The New Canaan Police and the Connecticut State Police are not looking for volunteer search parties to assist in the search for Jennifer at this time," stated New Canaan Deputy Police Chief John DiFederico.
