Theresa DeMichael, 85, Lifelong New Canaan Resident

Theresa DeMichael, age 85, of New Canaan passed away on January 6, 2015, at home after a brief illness with her family by her side.

Theresa was born September 15, 1929, daughter of the late Henry and Mary (Fricione) Lappitalo. She was the wife of the late Anthony DeMichael, a New Canaan police officer.

Theresa, a life-long resident of New Canaan is survived by her three children; Jeff DeMichael and wife Dorothy of Deep River ; Glenn DeMichael of New Canaan, and daughter, Lydia Linke and her husband Robert of Bethel. Theresa is also survived by five grandchildren; Rebecca Mozzochi, Jeff DeMichael, Jr., Michael McGrath, Sarah McGrath and Daniel DeMichael.

Theresa is also survived by her sisters Margaret Ermo and Ann Testa, both of Norwalk, brother-in-law Carl DeMichael and sister-in-law Eilene DeMichael, both of Florida, many nieces and nephews and beloved friends.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, Jan. 10 at 10 a.m. at Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main St., New Canaan CT. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
