The thefts occurred over the course of three separate days last week.
NEW CANAAN, CT — Over the course of a few days last week, the New Canaan Ralph Lauren store was hit by thieves who stole thousands of dollars worth of clothing, according to New Canaan police. The department is asking for the public's help in catching the suspects.
The first theft occurred at the Elm Street store on Oct. 3 when "two black females entered the store, and proceeded to pick up various pieces of merchandise, and then walk out of the store without paying, approximately $300.00 worth of items taken," Lt. Jason Ferraro wrote in a statement.

The two are believed to have left in a black-colored, older model Honda Accord, with CT Reg # 6ASTG1.
The third larceny occurred Oct. 7, and again, approximately $4,000 worth of merchandise was stolen.
"This occurred at approximately 1:10PM, and involved four individuals, 3 black males and one black female," said Ferraro.
The suspects are described as:
- The first male suspect is described as being approximately 5’9” tall, wearing black sneakers, tan pants, a dark colored sweatshirt with a logo on the front, and a light colored baseball hat.
- The second male was approximately 5’8” tall, wearing white sneakers, black pants, a red sweatshirt and a baseball hat that had a light colored brim and a dark color back.

The suspects from this theft appeared to have left in the same vehicle as that of the Oct. 4 incident.
In both [the Oct. 4 and 7] instances the parties walked into the store, and quickly grabbed as much merchandise as they could before running out the door to a waiting car," said Ferraro.
