Town Officials Reject Plan to Change Saxe Driveway
A plan from the state called for changing the South Ave. driveway from two lanes to one.
NEW CANAAN, CT- The Police Commission rejected a plan to turn the Saxe Middle School driveway on South Avenue from two lanes to one.
Chairman Stuart Sawabini said doing so would exacerbate a traffic problem that already exits, according to the New Canaanite.
The state Department of Transportation recomended the change in an effort to address sightlines for motorists seeking to exit onto South Avenue.
