TPNC Presents: Stage II: An Evening of Women

"The Role of Della" featuring Deborah Burke, Maureen Cummings, and Jacquie Carlsen and "Hand-Me-Downs" featuring Donna Barkman.

The Town Players of New Canaan are pleased to present Stage II: An Evening of Women. The 2-night event features performances of The Role of Della and Hand-Me-Downs.

The Role of Della by John Wooten is the rivoting and riotous look at the contemporary audition process, giving new meaning to the term “stealing a scene.” This play features Deborah Burke, Maureen Cummings, and Jacquie Carlsen and is directed by David Rosenberg.

Hand-Me-Downs: Scenes from a Life (with a little help from Antigone and Mother Goose) features Donna Barkman reviewing stories from her life. Directed by Mara Mills with musical accompaniment by Peter Barkman.

This is part of TPNC’s series of Stage II events that brings fresh, raw talent to the Town Players’ stage. Various events throughout the year bring new actors, directors, playwrights and technicians an opportunity to perform and learn by doing “theatre in the raw”. New authors and directors are encouraged to contact us at info@tpnc.org for staged readings of new works.
