New Canaan town offices are open, but state and federal offices are closed, as are most banks on Veterans Day (there’s no apostrophe in it), Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014.

• Connecticut state offices.
• Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles Offices
• Most banks are closed on Veterans Day. Banks in Connecticut have the option of remaining open on state holidays if they announce that fact to their customers. TD Bank branches in the state will remain open. (TD Bank closes for fewer holidays than nearly any other bank. Thanksgiving Day and Christmas are the last two holidays of the year that the bank will close.)
