Wilton Police Charge New Canaan Man With Burglary Attempt
Wilton Police say they foiled a burglary attempt by a New Canaan man on Danbury Road.
NEW CANAAN, CT — Police foiled a burglary at a commercial site last week, according to their report.
Wilton police officers were dispatched to 11 Danbury Road in Wilton on Tuesday following a report of a man attempting to gain access into the building through a rear door.
Police said that David Gannalo, 42, of Park Street in New Canaan, matched the description provided by witnesses and was taken into custody. After some investigation, police learned that Gannalo had two active warrants out of New Haven for failing to appear in court.

Police charged Gannalo with third-degree criminal trespass and third-degree attempted burglary. He was held on a $1,000 bond for the Wilton charges and a combined $6,000 court ordered bond for the two outstanding warrants.
Gannalo was scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court the next day.
