Woman Appeals Parking Ticket That Led to New Canaan Arrest

NEW CANAAN, CT—A woman arrested after an alleged confrontation with a parking enforcement officer is appealing the cause of her ticket.

Chanel Grant, 24, of Norwalk said that she pulled into a handicap spot so her friend could lean into the backseat and adjust her son's car seat, according to the New Canaanite.

The incident was one of a few that prompted the town to buy body cameras for parking enforcement agents.

Grant was charged with breach of peace.
