“The full-day event will be both inspiring and practical,” said Lytwyn who is an award- winning journalist, author, writing coach and former Fortune 500 consultant. She will offer an afternoon session focused on “adding the “wow’ factor to your writing as well as squelching those inner and outer critics.”
The program will include a morning session based on Chaffee’s Creating a Writing Life programs that she has been presenting for the past 10 years, giving writers a place to honor their literary passions. She is a freelance writer, retreat facilitator and former journalist.

“It is really an opportunity for inspiration and encouragement, spending a day in an extraordinary location, writing from prompts, sharing our experiences as writers, encouraging each other and exploring what the writing life is really all about,” said Chaffee. “For many, it is honoring a call to take their writing more seriously while immersing themselves in the joy of it.”
The all-inclusive program includes a continental breakfast and lunch at the historic Roger Sherman Inn and is being held Saturday, May 7 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. and the cost is $175. Early bird registrations by April 30 receive a $10 discount.
