1 Killed, 1 Injured In New Haven Shooting: Police

According to New Haven police, the shooting happened Friday night on Clover Place between Truman Street and Washington Avenue.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A man was killed and another was injured in a Friday night shooting in New Haven, authorities said.

According to New Haven police, officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert on Clover Place between Truman Street and Washington Avenue shortly before 11:40 p.m. When officers arrived, they 47-year-old New Haven man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The man was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he later died, police said.

Shortly after, a second victim police identified as a 20-year-old New Haven man walked into the emergency room with a gunshot wound to his foot. He told police he was injured in a shooting on Clover Place, authorities said.
