A 16-Year-Old One Of Two Hospitalized After Weekend Shootings: Police
First, a shooting in the West Rock-area Friday night around 9:30 and then, three hours later, another in the Hill, police said.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A 16-year-old New Haven boy was shot at around 9:30 p.m., Friday night on Lodge Street, between Level Street and the dead-end, police said. He was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, spokesperson Scott Shumway said.
Three hours later, at 12:30 a.m. Saturday, a 29-year-old New Haven was shot on Dewitt Street, between Putnam and Spring streets, Shumway said. The man was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives from the New Haven Police Department Major Crimes Unit are leading the investigation.
