$2.9M Road Infrastructure Improvements Underway With Sections of 60 Streets Being Milled, Paved: City

Here's what you need to know about street and road miiling and paving, including all 60 street locations.

NEW HAVEN, CT — It's summer, so street paving begins.

City officials, including Mayor Justin Elicker and Public Works Director Michael Siciliano held a briefing Thursday on street paving projects and road construction work happening across the city.

Portions of 60 streets are being milled and paved. Officials said every corner of the city is being represented in the $2.9 million road infrastructure improvement project.

Milling began on June 22, and paving begins this week.

In total, the City of New Haven maintains approximately 237 miles of public roads.

Streets scheduled for milling and paving have been selected based on current road conditions, traffic usage, available funding, citywide needs, and the impact of other ongoing projects. Each street will be milled first, then paved. The streets listed below will be worked on in the order shown. While we understand this may cause some inconvenience, we are working to minimize disruptions and appreciate your patience. We are confident the improvements will be well worth it. PLEASE NOTE: MILLING AND PAVING SCHEDULES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE. If you have any questions, please call Public Works at 203-946-7700."
