2 New Haven Men Shot On Edgewood Avenue Sunday: Police
Just after 1 a.m., a 19-year-old and a 20-year-old were "struck by gunfire," between Howe and Dwight streets, police said.

NEW HAVEN, CT —Two New Haven men were shot on Edgewood Avenue in the early morning hours Sunday, police said.
Just after 1 a.m., police got a Shotspotter alert about gunfire on Edgewood Avenue, between Howe and Dwight streets, according to New Haven police spokesperson Scott Shumway.
Shumway said arriving officers had begun to locate the crime scene when Yale New Haven Hospital Saint Raphael Campus called to say two men, one 20, and the other 19, walked into the called to the hospital after being struck by gunfire.

Both were taken by ambulance to the hospital's main campus on York Street, Shumway said. They were treated for non-life-threatening injuries and were listed in stable condition, he said.
New Haven Police Major Crimes Detectives responded to the scene and are leading the investigation.
