2 New Haven Residents Banned From Mall, Shoplift: Milford PD

The accused shoplifters were banned from the mall for a one-year period, police said.

MILFORD, CT — Two New Haven residents are accused of shoplifting from Boscov's, 1201 Boston Post Road, Milford Police said. On Dec. 5, police responded to the retailer on a report of Tarrah Matthews, 18, and Leona Nixon, 26, both of Whalley Avenue in New Haven, both in custody, police said.

They are accused of taking about $270 worth of goods from the store without paying for it, police said. Further investigation showed that both Nixon and Matthews had been banned from the Connecticut Post Mall on May 2 for a period of one year, police said.

They are both charged with sixth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny and criminal trespass.
