2 Weekend Shootings Left 2 New Haven Men Critically Injured: PD
A 22-year-old was shot Saturday night on Chatham Street, and a 45-year-old was shot early Sunday morning on Grasso Boulevard, police said.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Two weekend shootings left two New Haven men hospitalized in critical condition, police said.
Saturday night, at 7 p.m., police got a 911 call that a person had been shot on Chatham Street, between Atwater Street and Clinton Avenue, according to New Haven police spokesperson Scott Shumway.
When police arrived, they found a 22-year-old had been struck by gunfire. Transported to Yale New Haven Hospital, as of Sunday afternoon, he was listed in critical but stable condition, Shumway said.

The New Haven Police Bureau of Identification and Major Crimes Unit found ballistic evidence at the scene of the shooting, police said.
Sunday at around 3:30 a.m., police got a Shotspotter alert to gunfire on Ella T. Grasso Boulevard, between Printers and Longhini lanes, Shumway said. Police went to the scene and were soon contacted by Yale New Haven Hospital that a person who'd been shot was "dropped off at the hospital."

New Haven police Major Crimes detectives went to the hospital and found that a 45-year-old man was being treated for his injuries. He was listed in critical but stable condition.
Ballistic evidence was also found at the crime scene on Grasso, Shumway said.
